Née à Nara au Japon
Vit et travaille à Nara et à Tokyo
In 2005 I had an opportunity to work with Günther Uecker (former professorof Düsseldorf Art Academy), thanks to Japanese Government Overseas Study Program for artists/Sculptor. Since then I have never lost contacts with the society of modern art of Germany and the neighbor country Luxembourg. In 2009 I had my own exhibition in Düsseldorf then the exhibition moved to Luxembourg, which developed to exhibition-tour across two countries and could give Europeans a chance to touch my art works. And one of my work could become to the collection of Lehmbruck Museum/Germany. I’m proud of it very much. Thank you very much for Europeans !
I feel the charms in invisible things and the things secretly. I think that the art works are the messages of the time and space of the artists. Yes, it might be a metaphysical forces hope and want to be in the presence of even exceeded it. I think artists are the existence of wandering around their works, while dropping their works here and there. And they would like to be the existance more than something always. Maybe, these ideas are may have been fostered from the fact that I was born and raised in Nara, Japan most old capital of Japan.
In 1996 I set the 21t-monument named ‘Stone Stage’ in the park Nerima prefecture, Tokyo as the work of Tokyo metropolitan Office. Children can play freely with this Stone monument. They can touch, climb up and play freely at this monument. When I visited this park at the next day of opening there were the figures of children who filled with the delights and loud cheers. Dream of space axis and time axis went running across as a thunder in my body instantly. Almost 20 years has past since then but I have been continuing to cherish this feeling.
In this May I will have the residence and the exhibition at Cultural Section of Sanmarino.
I'm looking forward to meet the new art, culture and the people there. In addition, the new possibilities in me…
